It is horrifying to hear something as shameful as this happening in our nation. I was seriously gutted to hear that the practice, which was legally banned 17 years ago ( as a matter of fact, that was the year I was born), is still being followed by the people of vidhusha village. What is the government waiting for, new year? This is a really shameful act and it has to come to an end soon. The government has to come up with some strict rules and regulations to put a full stop to this ghastly and disgraceful predicament. The apathy and ignorance of the masses have to be removed. On one side the government is signing pacts with other countries for various causes and on the other side there are so many distressing activities going on in our nation. I wish I could take some drastic action to put an end to this monstrous nightmare. I wish and hope that my voice will reach up to the concerned authorities thus resulting in actually abolishing this practice, not just passing a law to this effect.
